The Heyward House Museum & Welcome Center is a house museum and visitor's center in Old Town Bluffton. The house was built in 1841 by local plantation owner, John James Cole. It was acquired by the Heyward family in 1867 and stayed within the family until 1998. Tours of the house are offered for $10 per adult, $5 per student, and children under 10 are free. Monday-Friday 10-5pm Saturday 10-4pm
